This past weekend Ivey League MMA was on hand for the Team Lloyd Irvin In House Tournament. The tournament was open to all members of Team Lloyd Irvin including, yup you guessed it, Ivey League MMA which reps Team LI for the Annapolis area.

We took a team of 11 students down to Camp Springs and it was nothing short of an amazing time. Since it’s really just for fun and charity I don’t want to talk about winning or losing. Just the fact that everyone had a blast and got some great matches in is all that matters to me.
What type of tournament was this? It was a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament focused on Gi and Nogi grappling. Some of the techniques we saw used were:
- The armlock
- Rear Choke
- Double Leg
- Osoto Gari
- Bullfighting
