To Master Ben Askren,
Thanks a bunch from everyone at Ivey League MMA for your awesome MMA seminar.
For those out of the loop, Bellator MMA welterweight title holder Ben “Funky” Askren conducted an amazing seminar here at Ivey League MMA, located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Ben Askren talks with Ivey League MMA regarding training routines
We like to call him “Master” Ben because he’s truly a master of Wrestling and hand to hand combat. Master Ben covered a number of great skills such as:
- Overhand right to a double leg
- The “Assassin”
- Head outside single dump from a jab defense
- The “Scissor neck crush”
- So much stuff it’s hard to list them all!
The students had a great time and everyone got autographs from Master Ben Askren. Lots of students were lucky enough to grab some of the “FUNKY” t-shirts that Ben had on him.
B. Askren shows a step over technique from a double leg (For MMA of course).
The one thing about Ben Askren is how nice he is to everyone. No one was too big or too small to get attention from him in regarded to technique work and questions. By far one of the nicest folks you’ll ever meet.
All in all a great time had by everyone and for sure Master Ben Askren is welcome back to Ivey League Mix Martial Arts anytime. Look for Ben to defend his Bellator title in late March, 2012. Stay tuned!
